Trip to the Zoo..

It's a challenge to think of things to do in school holidays, today was a trip to Belfast Zoo despite the typical dull weather. A great place to tire the kids out and have a picnic.

The Zoo houses more than 1,200 animals and 140 species on a 55 acre site. You are provided with a map of the area which has a route suggested on it to make the most of your visit. There are also food & refreshment facilities available.

What's going on up there?

We spent the whole day exploring the bird park, elephant & giraffe enclosure and by the lakeside. Rounded off with a play in the children's play park

We really enjoyed our day - despite the lack of sunshine!
