Today we made cookies!

Last night I promised Lady K we could bake a cake today, but after school the ‘cake’ changed into cookies!

I have a fab little recipe – it’s quick, easy and best of all really yummy!

Cookie Dough

100g butter
100g light muscavado sugar
1tbsp golden syrup
150g self raising flour

Set your oven at 160c
Beat butter and sugar, add syrup, mix
Work in half the flour

Mixing the dough

Now the fun bit – the flavouring! You can use:
85g Smarties/m&m’s
100g choc chips

today we decided on peanut butter! We added 4tbsp crunchy peanut butter
then mixed in the rest of the flour.

Divide into 14 balls, flatten slightly, spread out on a baking tray and bake for 12minutes.
Allow to cool before eating – if you can resist! They harden slightly and are really good crispy!

Ready to eat!

Enjoy – we certainly did!
